Docapesca launched a tender to replace the ladders and fenders of the fish unloading dock at the fishing port of Vila Real de Santo António, with a base price of 28.535 euros.
According to Docapesca, «the new stairs are in stainless steel, which has greater durability, and their length is increased, ensuring that the steps are at least one meter below the level of low tide».
The stairway protection fenders, currently made of wood, will be «replaced by composite rubber material with a low-friction coating, with characteristics of greater durability», adds Docapesca.
In addition to the stairs and fenders, all locking and connecting elements to the quay structure will be removed and replaced.
