O Monchique Resort & Spa, managed by DHM – Discovery Hotel Management, resumes its operation from the 1st of July, after a temporary closure period of almost three months.
Among the measures to guarantee the «safety of all its guests, employees and partners» is the carrying out of weekly tests to all workers, to detect Covid-19 infection.
Also the Santiago Hotel Cooking & Nature, managed by DHM, and located in Santiago do Cacém, Alentejo, will reopen on the same date.
Both units are located «in two of the regions considered to be the safest to spend a few days of vacation after confinement, in Alentejo and Algarve», stresses that hotel group.
The implementation of new health and safety measures also includes the «installation of a sanitary mat, for cleaning the soles of shoes, at the hotel entrance», «limitation of the capacity of seats in the restaurant and the need for advance reservations and «abolition of the fee in room service at certain times, giving guests the opportunity to enjoy meals in their rooms (upon available hours and advance booking)».
Also, as to the buffet lines for breakfast, at the Monchique Resort & Spa, the service was «adapted, with the provision of products in individual doses and service provided by an employee, to reduce customer contact with the products», while at the Santiago Hotel Cooking & Nature, it was deleted «now being served to the the map».
To mark the reopening, Santiago Hotel Cooking & Nature and Monchique Resort & Spa are now part of the “FLEX – New times, new rates, new rules” campaign, featuring three new rates: Free, with 10% discount on rate and cancellation or changes to the reservation free of charge up to 24 hours before the check-in date.
There is also Super Flex, with a 20% discount on the rate and free cancellation or changes to the reservation up to five days before the check-in date, with an advance payment of 30% of the total reservation amount.
Plus Flex, with 30% discount on the rate and free changes to the reservation up to ten days before the check-in date, with full payment in advance of the entire reservation. This rate is non-refundable.
Part of this campaign is also the solidarity initiative of donating €1 for each night reserved to one of four institutions, chosen by the guest: AMI – International Medical Assistance, Comunidade Vida e Paz, Cruz Vermelha Portuguesa and a local institution of each region.
