Lagos celebrates World Environment Day with educational app

The aim is "to make children and families aware of the environmental issues that affect us all"

Lagos will celebrate World Environment Day, on June 5th, with the launch of a didactic application for youngsters called “Super Ique in Environmental Defense”.

The objective is “to make children and families aware of the environmental issues that affect us all, such as cleaning beaches, separating garbage and saving water”, says the Câmara de Lagos.

Available on Google Play (Android) e App Store (Apple iOS), this interactive and educational game continues the adventures of Super Ique, presented in the animated film released in 2019 Plastics – An Environmental Challenge.

“Composed of three different levels, the player follows the Superhero as he runs and jumps on the platforms with the aim of collecting good environmental practices”, explains the municipality.

These practices include the cleaning of garbage on the beach, the correct use of recycling bins and waste separation, and a new environmental theme in this hero's adventure: the rational use of water.

“In this last environmental practice, the municipality will also disclose in its electronic media some tips and behaviors to be adopted to save water, alerting to the urgency of its rational use, as it is a finite and fragile resource”, he concludes.
