Covid-19: Olhão tests pre-school teaching and non-teaching staff

All teaching and non-teaching staff, from pre-school in Olhão, will be tested by Covid-19.

The diagnostic tests will be carried out by the Algarve Biomedical Center (ABC) and will be «conducted, due to laboratory availability, on the 10th of June».

According to Education Councilor António Camacho, «despite the fact that we are living through a phase of progressive and gradual distrust, the risk of contagion by Covid-19 is still a reality».

“For this reason, we believe that it is essential to carry out an exhaustive screening of all pre-school professionals, in order to guarantee the safety of all: teaching staff, non-teaching staff, children and their families”, he concludes.
