Silves municipal services start to gradually reopen from tomorrow

Measures will be taken to ensure the safety of employees and users

The municipal services in Silves that were closed due to the state of emergency will gradually reopen as of tomorrow, the 6th of May.

This gradual reopening of services, decided on Monday at a Chamber Meeting, “will involve the application of specific measures to ensure the safe operation of a number of areas and was designed taking into account the safeguarding and protection of health. of municipal workers, and their families, and of all citizens», according to the City Council of Silves.

"Municipal facilities of a sporting, cultural, recreational and recreational nature will remain closed and the deadlines for the practice of procedural or procedural acts within the scope of administrative procedures will continue to be suspended," added the municipality.

 




 

The municipality also announced the "strengthening of cleaning and sanitizing the workplaces of services/equipment that reopen, namely with regard to daily and periodic cleaning and disinfection of spaces, objects and surfaces, especially those with which there is contact intense".

«In addition, the health and safety at work team of the Municipality of Silves will carry out training and awareness-raising actions in all services/equipment that reopen and guarantee the distribution to all workers of indispensable and adequate personal protective equipment for execution in the safety of their work performance, namely visors, masks, gloves, disinfectant and liquid alcoholic solutions», added the Chamber of Silves.

The measures will be in force until 23:59 on May 19, 2020, "without prejudice to any extensions depending on the assessment that, at any given time, is made of the adequacy of the measures now adopted, with the determinant purpose of controlling and containing the spread of the new coronavirus”.
