Almost 30 people with Maritime Authority recommendations over the weekend

The National Maritime Authority made 11.149 recommendations to a total of 29.981 people, between Friday and Sunday, on the importance of complying with restrictions on access to beaches, to mitigate the spread of the pandemic, was announced on Monday.

According to a statement, several actions took place during these three days, "on the beaches and along the seafront, in order to advise and sensitize people to the importance of complying with the measures imposed" to reduce the risk of dissemination of the covid pandemic. -19.

The note states that the Maritime Police "has not registered any occurrence for disobedience to authority", but made 11.149 recommendations to a total of 29.981 people.

Of the three days of inspection, the day with the highest attendance was Sunday (23.224 people detected), "with the central area registering the highest number (19.131 people)".

The National Maritime Authority emphasizes that 21.086 people were detected "in a situation of potential non-compliance or risk" in "displacements or excursions in the public maritime domain".

The statement said that 8.580 people were found to be "staying in bathing support areas", 216 for water sports and 66 for recreational fishing.

According to the communiqué, "the Institute for Socorros a Náufragos reinforced the device of the National Maritime Authority, having assisted the Maritime Police in awareness-raising actions on beaches and at sea."

"In the actions carried out during that period, the elements of the National Maritime Authority traveled 7.669 kilometers of beach and recorded 487 nautical miles navigated", he adds.
