The rehabilitation of the Escola de Alcoutim Polydesportivo has already been completed, following an investment made by the Grupo Desportivo de Alcoutim (GDA).
The intervention made it possible to make this «a safer and more suitable space for the practice of regular physical activity», aimed at the club's athletes, but also at the general population, who can complement their daily physical exercise there.
The work consisted of laying «Patmos Evolution pavement», placing new beacons, mounting LED projectors and an access ramp that will allow people with reduced mobility easier access to space», according to the GDA.
The work resulted from an application by the alcouteneja association to PRID – Program for the Rehabilitation of Sports Facilities – 2019 and had the support of the Portuguese Institute of Sport and Youth and the City Council of Alcoutim.
