Lagos reinforces financial support given to school groups

Local authority accepted the transfer of skills in the area of ​​education

At its last meeting, the City Council of Lagos approved the transfer of around 366 thousand euros to school groups, "in order to guarantee the best operational and operational conditions". 

This municipality accepted the transfer of skills in the area of ​​education.

To implement these new responsibilities, the City Council approved an addendum to the cooperation protocols signed with the council's school groups (Gil Eanes and Júlio Dantas), through which it now includes an increased set of financial support for the current costs of operating education secondary education and school social action (which now includes the supply of school milk to pre-school and 1st cycle students, the provision of school meals to 2nd and 3rd cycle and secondary students and transport schools made on special circuits).

To this is added the equipping, maintenance and conservation of the school park at the level of Secondary Education.

In practice, there are around 366 thousand euros more that the municipality proposes to transfer in the current year to school groups, a figure that reinforces the 216 euros that the municipality had already decided to allocate in the 2019/2020 school year.
