Lagos: ADD FUEL gives “new life” to Lançarote de Freitas street

Artist will make a 100m2 mural

The artist ADD FUEL will paint a large mural, between 25 and 30 May, on the façade of the Mar d'Estórias building, on Rua Lançarote de Freitas, in Lagos.

This initiative is the result of a partnership between LAC – Creative Activities Laboratory, Cultural Association, and Mar d'Estórias, which aims to «give new life to the building's large wall and contribute, above all, to the promotion of urban art in the city. of Lagos».

ADD FUEL's work «focuses on the reinterpretation of Portuguese tiles through the stencil technique with contemporary graphic details», says Mar d'Estórias.

ADD FUEL is Portuguese artist and illustrator Diogo Machado. Graduated in Graphic Design, he has participated in several urban art events and presented his works in group and individual exhibitions, taking the name of Portugal to the four corners of the world.

«Through the hands of LAC, Lagos has received over the last few years a reference urban art guide, accessible to all who want to visit, now gaining a new work of art on the facade of an iconic, multidisciplinary and 100% Portuguese space», highlights the Mar d'Estories.

This partnership will result in a mural with an area of ​​approx. 100m2 (20m x 5m), «that will bring a new life to Lançarote de Freitas Street», he concludes.
