The Covid-19 screening tests that covered all homes in the Algarve have already finished. In total, 105 establishments were screened and there were only positive cases in Boliqueime.
Ana Cristina Guerreiro, regional Health delegate, said at a press conference held this Monday, May 18, that a total of 7892 tests were carried out, guaranteed by the Algarve Biomedical Center (A B C).
"Tests were carried out on all users and employees of all homes for the elderly, even those who do not have their situation regularized," he explained.
Finished the Tracking, carried out within the scope of the Covid+70 initiative, only the Santa Home of Casa da Misericórdia in Boliqueime (Loulé) had positive cases. In the rest, everything was negative.
Now, what is being done are tests to the employees of the Continuing Care Units. «We've already done half of it and maybe we'll finish this week», explained Ana Cristina Guerreiro. The good news is "it's all been negative," he added.
In daycares, 1419 tests have been carried out on employees in 106 day care centers, with no positive cases. Now, employees of the crèches that will reopen on June 1 are being tested.
