The Mobility and Transport Authority (AMT) issued a positive binding prior opinion on the extension of the Contract for the Provision of Collective Urban Passenger Transport Services in the Municipality of Faro, concerning the “Próximo” service, and the parts of the tender for the provision of three Public Passenger Transport Services by Inland Waterway in the Municipality of Faro/Ria Formosa.
According to the AMT, which announced today, Friday, that it has given the green light to contracts and tender procedures proposed by several municipalities in the country, the projects in question respect "the applicable jurisprudential and legal framework".
In the case of the urban transport contract of Faro, as well as in three other municipalities, the procedures "have a limited duration, since the services in question will be included in future contracts resulting from municipal and inter-municipal public tenders", stressed the same entity.
