Circular Economy in the Algarve is the subject of an online seminar

The transition “to a society where waste becomes a product” will be debated.

The Algarve Regional Coordination and Development Commission (CCDR Algarve) will promote an online seminar on Circular Economy, on June 5th, from 10:00 am.

The webminar's main objective is to disseminate the Regional Agenda for the transition to the Circular Economy in the region.

This document, prepared by the Algarve CCDR, is based on “the study of the Algarve's regional metabolism and with the participation of actors in working groups and workshops held under the cycle “Making Circular Economy Happen in the Algarve”, co-funded by Environmental Fund of the Ministry of Environment and Climate Action, in 2019».

In this event, we will talk “about the transition from the linear economy to the circular economy, to a society where waste is transformed into a product”.

«The Regional Agenda will be contextualized, the Potential for Waste Circularity in the Algarve and the Action Plan for Construction and Demolition Waste will be addressed, as well as the relationship between the Circular Economy and Climate Change will be focused. Time will also be allocated for questions and answers and on the next actions to be developed», described CCDR Algarve.

«Innovation, research and creativity are keys to the success of this transition, so the participation of all who want to contribute, through good practices in circular economy, to implement the Regional Agenda for the Circular Economy of the Algarve», concluded the same entity.
