Parliament debates petition demanding construction of new hospital in Lagos

Four Draft Resolutions, presented by the Parliamentary Groups, on the same topic will also be considered and voted on.

The Assembly of the Republic will consider and vote next Wednesday, May 27, the Public Petition, promoted by the Municipal Assembly of Lagos, demanding the construction of the new Hospital de Lagos.

The Public Petition “For the right to health in Terras do Infante – Construction of the new Hospital in Lagos”, which gathered 4 signatures, was delivered to the Assembly of the Republic, on March 580, 28, by the Municipal Assembly of Lagos. the procedures, including the hearing promoted by the Rapporteur of the Petition, on the 2019th of July, and will go up to the Plenary on the 16th of May.

In addition to the Petition promoted by the Municipal Assembly of Lagos, on the same day, four Draft Resolutions will be considered and voted on, presented by various Parliamentary Groups, related to the construction of a new Hospital in Lagos.

Taking into account the current exceptional situation related to the Covid-19 pandemic, only a limited number of people can attend, on the spot, to the Parliamentary Session, for which a delegation of the Municipal Assembly of Lagos, consisting of six people, will travel to the Assembly of the Republic.

The aforementioned Session of the Assembly of the Republic, scheduled for 15 pm, on May 27, 2020, can be viewed on the Parliament Channel, which is available on DTT and cable television operators, or via the Internet, on the Parliament website, in the area of the Parliament Channel.
