Manuel Magalhães, a Mathematics teacher at the Manuel Teixeira Gomes Secondary School, in Portimão, died, a victim of Covid-19. This is the second death recorded in the region of a person infected with the new coronavirus.
The information was confirmed by Isilda Gomes, mayor of Portimão, to Sul Informação. The mayor, in statements to our newspaper, "deeply regretted" the death.
The teacher, who was around 60 years old and lived in the municipality of Lagoa, had previous heart problems.
To what Sul Informação found out, the teacher was admitted to the Hospital of Faro.
