Covid 19: One person died in the Algarve, there are 4 more confirmed cases in the region, 1020 in the country

Data from the DGS Epidemiological Bulletin released this Friday, the 20th

One person died in the Algarve due to Covid-19, a region in which there are 4 more cases. The number of infected in the country already exceeds the thousand: there are now 1020 cases.

The epidemiological bulletin of the Directorate-General for Health indicates that, in total, across the country, there are 6 deaths, with 5 people already recovered.

With regard to the first death recorded in the Algarve, just yesterday, the Sul Informação found out that it is a lady, who was admitted yesterday to the hospital in Faro and that it was ventilated. Our newspaper is trying to confirm where this person lived.

Alentejo continues to register the same 2 cases, both registered in Évora. The North region continues to have the most confirmed cases (506), followed by Lisbon and Vale do Tejo (361), Center (106).

There are still 126 inpatients, of which 26 are in intensive care.

850 people are waiting to know the results of laboratory tests, 5862 cases have not been confirmed. A total of 9008 people are under surveillance by the health authorities.

Of the 1020 cases across the country, the DGS informs that 9 of them refer to foreigners who are in the country but reside abroad. There are also 24 active transmission chains.
