APEXA creates network of “friends” to fight Covid-19

The objective is to help signal potential patients at risk in the municipalities of Albufeira and Lagoa and create a service and support distribution network

APEXA (Association for the Support of the Exceptional Person of the Algarve) created a support network for groups at risk with the objective of helping those who need it most in the face of the spread of Covid-19.

The objective is to help signal potential patients at risk in the municipalities of Albufeira and Lagoa and create a distribution network of services and support, through qualified volunteers who can apply online here.

The “Friend Exceptional” – the name of this initiative – “can provide these people with the essential goods they need, but, above all, specialized services at a therapeutic and rehabilitative level, preventing these users from leaving their homes and, consequently, are more exposed'.

The project was based on APEXA's assumptions and was created and launched in less than 24 hours.
