Isabel Torres de Noronha receives the Career Alumni award from the University of Algarve

Pedro Bastos will be distinguished with an honorable mention

Isabel Torres de Noronha will receive the Alumni Career Award from the University of Algarve, in a public ceremony, on February 5th, from 14:30 pm, in the rectory's seminar room, on the Campus de Gambelas.

This initiative, entitled "One afternoon, three meetings", begins with a lecture on the importance and advantages of peer tutoring, under the theme "Peer Education and promotion of health and academic success", followed by the launch of " V Edition of the Alumni Mentoring Program”.

Isabel Torres de Noronha has a degree in Marine Biology (1995/1996) and a Ph.D. in Marine Policy. He specialized in ocean governance and integrated policies, public policy analysis and sustainable development at the University of Delaware in the United States of America.

It develops its activity through the interface between science and politics, aiming at the consolidation of strategic and environmental ocean policies. She is the director of the consulting firm InventAr, Lda, which leads the areas of sustainable development, ocean and environmental issues and cumulative impacts, to produce multidisciplinary knowledge and policy advice.

Pedro Bastos, graduated in Biochemistry (2006/2007) and founder of the Nutrifresco company, specialized in the marketing of high quality fish for top hotels and restaurants, will also be distinguished with an honorable mention.
