In March, we'll listen to jazz with a glass of wine in hand or sing and walk along Via Algarviana

The 4th edition of 365Algarve runs until May

An Algarve epic, jazz enjoyed with a glass of wine in hand, a debut for piano and orchestra, singing and walking along the Via Algarviana. These are the main proposals of the 365Algarve schedule for the month of March, throughout the region.

So, on March 1st, in Loulé, two actors and a musician give body to an algarvian epic in “À Babuja“: a knight of modern times gives free rein to the horse of the imagination with a co-pilot, a noble lady whom he serenades with a serenade and, of course, enemies to face.

On the 6th and 7th of March, in Silves, the fourth edition of Jazz in the Cellars hosts the Cool Manouche, a manouche or gypsy jazz quartet that recreates the warm and charming atmosphere of the Hot Club de Paris in the 30s of the XNUMXth century. During the event, three wine tastings are offered, harmonized with tapas made with regional products.

Not to be missed, on the 7th, in Faro, the absolute debut of Concerto for Piano and Orchestra by Jorge Salgueiro, a commission made to the composer for the 4th Algarve International Piano Festival. The work will be performed by the young pianist António Cebola and by the Orquestra Clássica do Centro, directed by Jan Wierzba.

In the corner of the Algarve combines choral music from different origins with tours on specific sections of the Via Algarviana, through different Algarve municipalities. On the 8th of March, the route passes through the Feira do Pão Quente and Queijo Fresco de Alcoutim, with entertainment by the Grupo Coral Ossónoba.

The 4th edition of 365Algarve runs until May and the programming cycle starts from an idea of territory as a landscape on a human scale, which can be explored on foot. A concept immediately associated with Europe, a continent where connections are made at a walking distance, and which constitutes the common thread of this edition: the deep human connection to the territory, both physically and metaphorically.

There are more than 400 cultural initiatives that the 365Algarve promotes throughout the region and which include more than a hundred concerts, around 50 theater performances and around a hundred actions related to the region's heritage, among other events.
