The Aguardente e Mel Fair takes place again on the 14th of March, in the village of Cortelha, in the interior of the municipality of Loulé.
The event, organized by the Association of Friends of Cortelha, «aims to promote and bring to the public what is most genuine produced in Serra do Caldeirão».
Exhibitors, producers or artisans interested in participating in this exhibition can register until the 21st, next Friday, by emailing [email protected].
The Association of Friends of Cortelha, which has the support of the Loulé City Council and the Salir Parish Council, wants to bring together «the main local producers of medronho brandy and honey, two products with a high impact on the social fabric of the region and whose know-how passes from generation to generation, eternalizing flavors and traditions».
«In addition to the exhibition and tasting of these two treasures of the Serra do Caldeirão, the event also includes a walking tour with visits to distilleries, an exhibition of handicrafts and other local products. During the whole day there will be moments of musical entertainment and it will be possible to taste the delicacies of the mountain gastronomy, in the tasquinha existing in the enclosure», added the Amigos da Cortelha.
