13 artists and informal conversations at the collective exhibition Méli-Mélo 2 in Faro

Informal weekend conversations

A collective exhibition of visual arts, accompanied by talks about art, called Méli-Mélo 2, will be inaugurated on Saturday, March 7th, at 15 pm, at Pontes de Marchil palace, in Faro, where the headquarters of the Association 289.

The exhibition and informal conversations will feature works by artists Ana Rostron, Angelo Gonçalves, Bertílio Martins, Fernando Amaro, Gustavo Jesus, Jorge Mestre Simão, Leandro Marques, Milita Doré, Paulo Serra, Régis Vincent, Susana Medeiros, Tiago Batista and Xana. The show runs until March 22.

According to Associação 289, «the exhibition aspect of this initiative includes works referring to the recent activity of those artists under the title Méli-Mélo, a designation that, in its ambiguity and ambivalence, reminds us of the complexity of artistic meanings (the “open work” of Umberto Eco) and for affectivity in human relationships».

Thus, in the four rooms of the building of Associação 289 «different ideas imbued with that spirit are in dialogue, executed in the technical domains of sculpture, painting, drawing, photography and installation».

In line with the theme and "to establish an encounter with art in a warm and poetic way, in which we will all be "amateurs", in the sense of someone who emotionally longs for something", presentations will take place at the weekend. artists, followed by debate with the public.

Thus, informal conversations are proposed, reflections warmed by the fire in the fireplace, sharing tea and some sweets. These meetings will take place in March, on Saturdays and Sundays, between 15:00 pm and 19:00 pm, according to the following schedule:
