Loulé provides art training for children

The initiative will be given by the Companhia de Música Teatral

The GerminArte Transitive Training, for educators, mediators, musicians and other artists interested in creation aimed at children, starts this Monday, January 27, at the Auditorium of Solar da Música Nova, in Loulé. 

The initiative, given by the Companhia de Música Teatral, will last until the 29th and is part of the new programming of the Cine-Teatro Louletano.

«This is the continuation of the strategic investment in the area of ​​Art for Children, namely in the training aspect, that the Cineteatro Louletano has been developing since 2016 in a logic of continuity and deepening, and with a close involvement of various entities and institutions of the the municipality of Loulé and the region, namely the University of the Algarve through its Higher School of Education and Communication (ESEC)», says the Câmara de Loulé.

The “GerminArte Transitive Formation”, proposed for the second consecutive year by the Cineteatro Louletano, is part of the “GerminArte – Artistic Transformation for Social and Human Development from Childhood” project and comprises three modules: “Baby Plimplim”, “ Super-sonics” and “Colos de Música”. It aims to provide all subscribers with musical experiences that can enrich interaction with babies and children.

Having as basic principles the theory of musical learning and the conception of music as a communication instrument, the modules propose: movement activities, vocal exploration and learning rhythmic songs and chants, active listening activities, movement and vocal practice and activities of timbral listening, composition and musical performance with unconventional sound resources, valuing its expressive and inclusive potential.

In addition to enabling the enjoyment of significant moments of musical interaction and contact with other professionals in the sector who deal with childhood in different contexts, "GerminArte Transitive Formation" explores communicational instruments at the level of the body, voice and use of resources different sounds.

This training has a total duration of 9 hours (three modules of 3 hours), taking place from the 27th to the 29th of January (Monday to Wednesday) in after-work hours, from 18:00 pm to 21:00 pm, granting a certificate of participation.

The Companhia de Música Teatral will return to Loulé again in mid 2020, with Helena Rodrigues, artistic director of that structure, Jorge Parente, Paulo Maria Rodrigues and Rita Roberto as trainers of the intensive training cycle (42 hours) which will take place between the 20th and 26th of July, called “Thousand Birds – Immersive Training in Art for Children” (inaugurated in the south of the country), this after the impact of the “Interior Garden” training held in Loulé in 2019.
