Algarve incubators prepare to launch joint initiatives

Meeting took place in Loulé

The Algarve business incubators are preparing to launch initiatives together, after a new informal meeting between these entities that welcome startups and growing companies, which took place on Tuesday at Loulé Design Lab, located at Palácio Gama Lobo.

According to Algarve STP association (Systems and Technology Partnership), which co-organized the session with the University of Algarve, within the scope of the Algarve Tech Hub, in collaboration with Loulé Design Lab.

«Algarve STP proposed a work agenda that involved the exchange of concrete experiences in support of companies hosted in incubators», reveals the association, which also speaks of an «illustrative intervention» by Hugo Barros, director of CRIA – Division of Entrepreneurship and Technology Transfer at the University of Algarve, «on the support tools for companies that have been used in the scope of the CRIA experience».

“This experience, which is taking its first steps, reflects the importance of sharing operational activities between incubator technicians at a regional level. It allows identifying the needs of the entities involved and defining strategies for the future, consolidating the joint activities of these entities», framed João Guerreiro, chairman of the board of Algarve STP.

The meetings between incubators also make it possible to "evaluate possible regional measures for concerting the management of incubators, guaranteeing high levels of convergence".

The next meeting of incubators, the third - the first took place in Portimão -, will take place on the 17th of March, in Faro, in a place yet to be defined.
