Cristina Branco releases new video recorded at the Sal-Gema Mine [with video]

Cristina Branco was in artist residency in Loule

“Delicadeza”, the first single from “Eva”, a new album by Cristina Branco, was released this Thursday, January 23, with a video clip that was recorded in full at the Sal-Gema Mine in Loulé, courtesy of the company TechSalt SA.

This audiovisual work was born within the scope of the artist's residency held by the singer and her musicians, at the Auditorium of Solar da Música Nova, in November, at the invitation of the Municipality of Loulé through the Cineteatro Louletano, and had the support of the Loulé Film Office.

Between 11 and 17 November Cristina Branco and her musicians were in artistic residency, in Loulé, for preparing your new album.

This presence of the artist in Loulé lands «in line with the Cineteatro Louletano's programming strategy of continuing to privilege the support to the Portuguese artistic context and the debut in the South, in Loulé, of new creations, both by emerging creators and by already recognized artists of the national panorama”, explains the Câmara de Loulé.

According to the municipality, the investment in the artistic residency format "has allowed the development of a complementary dynamic between the offer presented at the Cineteatro and the more specific functionality of the Solar da Música Nova Auditorium as a cultural facility".

The theme of the single “Delicadeza”, written by Francisca Cortesão (lyrics and music), has Cristina Branco signing the musical production with Bernardo Couto (Portuguese guitar), Bernardo Moreira (double bass) and Luís Figueiredo (piano).

Current Portuguese music is the basis explored by Cristina Branco, «one of the most important Portuguese interpreters of today», highlights the Loulé autarchy.

“Eva” is scheduled to be published in March 2020 and on June 19, at 21 pm, Cristina Branco will present her new album on stage at Cineteatro Louletano.

The Chamber of Loulé promises that "soon more surprises will be announced resulting from this affective and artistic connection of the prestigious interpreter to Loulé".

Cristina Branco, about her new work, explains that «Eva is a photographer, she captures the soul and beauty of the human body. She was born on March 2, 2006 in Denmark, Louisiana Territory, the Museum of Modern Art. Born at 34 years old. Sometimes it is born that way, on a blank sheet, by an intricate mind and a trembling hand. It came in the form of a question: What is true freedom for you? From this thought onwards it became a commitment to myself».

«I built it in my image and tried to “fix” all my doubts and fears, like an artist who creates his own moral universe without any regrets or guilt! Eva is a free spirit in permanent evolution!”, adds Cristina Branco about “Eva”, an alter-ego created by the artist who gives name to this new album.

Cristina Branco has Joana Linda's photography and also a video production, because in “Eva” «the partnership with the photographer/director Joana Linda is even more assumed, who signed the album cover, videos, photos and an aesthetic reading about the “new normal” of the singer in recent years».
