Students from Olhão form a human cord for peace

The event is open to everyone

800 students from the Dr. Alberto Iria Schools Group, in Olhão, will form a human cordon for peace in schools on January 30, from 10:00 am.

This will be the second consecutive year that this initiative has taken place, as a way of marking the International Day of Non-Violence and Peace in Schools.

"Since the issue of violence in schools is increasingly frequent and takes on increasingly complex and worrying contours, we intend with this initiative, to alert and sensitize society," says the organization.

The objective will then be the formation of a human cord, drawing the symbol of peace on the outdoor sports venue of Escola EB 2, 3 Dr. Alberto Iria.

The event is open to the entire school community and also to those who want to join hands in favor of peace, simply by wearing a yellow garment.
