A photograph of the algarvian Bruno Gonçalves was chosen to illustrate the month of February on Severe Weather Europe's 2020 calendar, which goes on sale next week.

Presented by SWE as a "spectacular daytime lightning storm", the photo was captured by environmental engineer, meteorologist and tornado hunter in front of Praia do Carvoeiro, on the coast of the municipality of Lagoa.

The calendar also contains other images from photographers and weather phenomena across Europe, namely in Italy, Slovenia, Greece, Croatia and Germany.
