Faro: Directorate-General for the Arts promotes a session on the EEA/EEA Grants competition

Session is promoted by the Directorate-General for the Arts

The Directorate-General for the Arts will promote a clarification session on the financial mechanism of the EEE/EEA Grants 2014-2021 – Contest “Connecting Dots – Artistic Mobility and Audience Development”, on the 26th of November, in Faro, in collaboration with the Regional Directorate of Culture of the Algarve. The session will take place in the Auditorium of the Regional Directorate of Culture of the Algarve, between 14:30 and 17:00.

This competition was launched in September 2019, by the Directorate-General for the Arts, as a partner of the Culture Program, under the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area/EEA Grants 2014-2021, and «aimed at financing multidisciplinary artistic programming projects that contribute to the strengthening of the artistic offer, access to and participation in the arts in the low-density territories of Mainland Portugal and in the Autonomous Regions of the Azores and Madeira».

Applications must be «presented in a mandatory partnership between Portuguese artistic entities, Portuguese municipalities and cultural entities from Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway», explains the Regional Directorate of Culture.

«Considering the funding objectives, the fundamental importance of international partnerships, and the role that the participation of Portuguese municipalities assumes in them», the Directorate-General for the Arts, in collaboration with the Regional Directorates of Culture, is promoting these clarification sessions , throughout the national territory, for the presentation of the program's objectives and clarification to those interested in submitting candidacies.

The presentations focus on the technical component, with a space reserved for questions and answers.

Admission is free, but it is necessary to fill in a participation form.
