Dead Combo will give a concert on November 23, at 21 pm, at Cineteatro Camacho Costa, in Odemira.

The emblematic band, composed by Tó Trips and Pedro Gonçalves, recently announced that it was going to break up, to the sadness of the fans.

Odemira's show will be dedicated to Dead Combo's latest work: “Odeon Hotel”, considered one of the three best albums of 2018 by the press and critics in general.

For the first time in the band's history, the album was published around the world, with the seal of one of the biggest international publishers, Sony Music.

Live, the band of Tó Trips and Pedro Gonçalves presents themselves in a formation with guest musicians: Alexandre Frazão (drums, voice), Gui (winds, mellotron, voice) and António Quintino (double bass, guitars, mellotron).

The story of Dead Combo began in 2003 following an invitation from radio broadcaster Henrique Amaro (Antena 3) to compose and record the song “Paredes Ambience”, included in the tribute album to Carlos Paredes “Movimentos Perpétuos – Música para Carlos Paredes”.

The duo participated in the episode about Lisbon of the program “No Reservations” by Anthony Bourdain, which earned them entry in the top 10 of the best-selling world music albums on US iTunes.

In 2015, his music reached Hollywood, through the inclusion of two songs in the film “Focus”, directed by Glenn Ficarra and John Requa and starring Will Smith. Also in 2015 they received the Golden Globe for best band.

On October 1st, the duo announced that Dead Combo will end, but not before launching a tour until 2020. In a post on the band's Facebook page, signed by the two, Tó Trips and Pedro Gonçalves said they will end how they started, that is, “the two”.
