Paulo Baptista happy with the result of the PAN, even without being elected deputy

The head of the PAN list for the Algarve in yesterday's Legislatives praised the growth of PAN in the region

PAN – People Animal Nature achieved "a good result" in the Algarve in the Legislative Elections yesterday, despite not having managed to elect a deputy for the circle of Faro, told the Sul Informação Paul the Baptist.

The PAN head of list for the Algarve region will not sit in Parliament, but he praised his party's performance.

“Obviously we are happy with the result, although we have not managed to elect a deputy. It is, without a doubt, a great growth of the PAN in the region. With 4,77%, we are the country's district with the highest percentage of votes», he illustrated.

This was, moreover, "the best result ever" of this party, at regional level. “We increased the total number of votes by more than 2, in relation to the European ones”, stressed Paulo Batista.

Although he did not hide his hopes of being elected as a deputy, the PAN candidate assured that this objective was seen, from the beginning, as being “difficult to achieve”.

“At national level, we quadrupled the representation in the Assembly of the Republic and that is extraordinary. I am sure that the people who were elected – and who I know well and whose qualities I recognize – will do a good job», he added.

From here, Paulo Baptista assures that the PAN will «continue to develop the good things we have been doing and to grow, because the truth is that we still have a small group of affiliates and militants here in the Algarve».

«We intend to grow in places where we do not yet have such a strong presence, such as, for example, Olhão, Portimão and Tavira», he concluded.
