Operation Montanha Verde seeks volunteers to plant 42 trees

Zoomarine promotes this initiative again

A Operation Green Mountain is looking for volunteers for two true days in favor of the environment, on the 10th and 11th of November, in which 42 trees will be planted in eight Algarve municipalities.

Registration is open and is essential for the purposes of insurance for participation and management (meals, instruments, gloves, etc.) and can be made here

Planting will take place on two separate days (Sunday, November 10th, and Monday, November 11th) in Silves, Loulé, Portimão, Monchique, Lagoa, Olhão, Tavira and São Brás de Alportel, between 09:30 am and at 12:30, approximately.

The organization expects the presence of around 3000 volunteers.

In a press release, Zoomarine says that, despite knowing that these plantations “will not make up for the terrible losses that the Algarve has suffered”, they will help.

The initiative has the high sponsorship of the President of the Republic and has the support of several entities, namely, the Algarve Tourism Region, ALGAR SA (Nutriverde), Águas do Algarve, Vila Vita Parc Resort & Spa, GolfeJardim and Horto Alegria do Norte.
