Man who fell from a ravine in the Aterro da Cortelha transported by heli to Faro

After the screening, the victim was "spit" down a ravine, where he fell "into a line of water"

A 45-year-old man, who fell this Thursday, October 17, from a 30-meter ravine after the tractor he was driving overturned, at the Sotavento Sanitary Landfill, in Cortelha (Loulé), was transported by helicopter to the Hospital of Faro, for being in serious condition.

The accident occurred around 17:00.

Source of the District Relief Operations Command (CDOS) of Faro told the Sul Informação that the man, of Portuguese nationality, “drives a rubber tractor”.

After the screening, the victim was "spit" down a ravine, having fallen "into a line of water".

There were 14 operatives at the site, from the Loulé and INEM Fire Brigade, supported by four vehicles.
