The Grande Rota do Guadiana (GR15), whose beginning/end of the route is close to the Vila Real de Santo António Sports Complex, already has another information panel on Estrada da Mata, on the «Caminho dos Três Pauzinhos», near that city.
The panel compiles useful information associated with a map on the GR15 and as a complement to the Lower Guadiana and Forest Trails Network of VRSA.
It is installed at a point of convergence between the Sports Complex, the access to the paths of Mata das Dunas Litorais de VRSA and the Ecovia do Litoral.
Odiana, as the promoter of the GR15, reveals that it has been «listening to various users, such as territorial entities, proceeding, in the last year, to improvements in the route, as well as the installation of signaling, support and promotion materials» .
Thus, following the «growing trend» of Nature Tourism in the region, bearing in mind that «hiking has become an important and valuable resource for the territory», it was essential to install this informative and promotional panel in a tourist and sports area. for excellence.
This is an Odiana initiative, through the Promoturis project - Tourism and Cultural Promotion Plan, presented to the Opening Notice ALG-14-2016-10 – Tourism Promotion and Cultural Events, investment priority 6.3, financed by the CRESC Operational Program Algarve 2020.
