“Palliative Care – One Care… One Right” is the theme of a conference scheduled for October 12, at 16 pm, in the auditorium of the Municipal Library of Portimão. This event is part of the commemorations of the World Palliative Care Day, which is marked on that day.
The conference, which is organized by the Palliative Care Team of the Hospital Unit of Portimão and the Technical Director of the CHUA Psychosocial Support Team, will be attended by Isilda Gomes, Mayor of Portimão, at the opening session. by Paulo Morgado, president of the ARS Algarve, by Jorge Brito, representative of the Clinical Direction of the University Hospital Center of the Algarve, by Conceição Gago, representative of the Regional Coordination of Palliative Care and members of the Palliative Care Teams of Faro and from Portimão.
The presentation of the theme of the conference is in charge of the physician Lourdes Cabezuelo.
The session ends with a musical moment starring some elements of the Sociedade Filarmónica Portimonense.
Also included in the commemorations of the World Palliative Care Day, it is on display, between the 7th and 11th of October, in the hall of the central building of the Hospital Unit of Faro, an exhibition of illustrations alluding to the theme of palliative care, an artwork by illustrator João Paiva, also a nurse at CHUA.
The works can still be appreciated on the day of the conference, at the Municipal Library of Portimão.
The conference has the support of the Municipality of Portimão and the Philharmonic Society of Portimonense.
