São Brás executive visited day care centers before the start of the school year

City Council says it is "aware of the growing need felt by many families who need child support units"

The municipal executive of São Brás de Alportel visited the county's crèches before the start of the school year. 

Vítor Guerreiro, president of the Chamber, was accompanied by Marlene Guerreiro, vice president.

The itinerary began with a visit to the António Calçada Children's Center of the Santa Casa da Misericórdia of São Brás de Alportel, which opened its doors to the community in 1982, and which currently provides the community with four social responses in the area of ​​childhood and youth, namely a crèche ( with a capacity for 58 children), a Kindergarten/Pre-School (accommodating 75 children), a Leisure Activity Center (accommodating 60 children) and a Youth Center (accommodating 60 young people).

 

 

This was followed by a visit to the Sítio do Bebé Day Care Center of the Workers' Culture and Sports Center of the City Council and the Parish Council of São Brás de Alportel, the county's most recent private institution of social solidarity, which provides the São Brasense community. since 2010 this crèche has taken in 84 children.

«This initiative aimed to enhance the work of such relevant importance that is carried out by these institutions in supporting children and families from São Paulo and to welcome the return to work of so many professionals who are dedicated to caring for children. São Brasenses, leaving wishes for a good school year», says the municipality.

 

 

The «visit also allowed us to learn about the improvements that have been made in both spaces, towards the creation of the best conditions for the reception of the little ones, as well as learning about some needs and challenges that arise and for which solutions are sought. , promoting local networking and synergy”.

At the present time, and due to the demographic growth that is taking place in São Brás de Alportel, namely at the level of young couples, the City Council says it is "aware of the growing need felt by many families that need child support units" .
