These are the proposals that the Regional Directorate of Culture of the Algarve prepared, through the DiVaM program – Dynamization and Valorization of Monuments, for the commemorations of the European Heritage Days, from the 27th to the 29th of September.

The cultural program presented for the European Heritage Days, which this year has the theme "Arts, Heritage, Leisure", "includes a set of initiatives that not only recognize but highlight the capacity of cultural heritage for dialogue between peoples and cultures and the recovery of memories for a better understanding of current issues», explains the Regional Directorate of Culture of the Algarve.

«Having as its motto the first great journey started 500 years ago by Fernão de Magalhães, who proved the sphericity of the Earth, and using various paths and different aesthetic languages, such as music, performance, poetry, or audiovisual arts, it also adds a scientific approach, a program was prepared for schools, families and the general public, which promotes a better understanding of the crucial importance of all the heritage that unites us», adds that body.
