The Municipality of Faro he lamented «deeply», in a publication made this Sunday on his Facebook page, the «tragic and unexpected death of Bombeira Sapadora Susana Gonçalves, which occurred this morning». The 39-year-old young firefighter was the victim of a sudden illness.
The Chamber adds, in its publication, that "while still young, Susana leaves behind a valuable career at Bombeiros Sapadores and a happy memory as a solidary colleague and a zealous professional who fulfills her obligations."
The Municipality stresses that the psychological support of Susana Gonçalves' three minor children «has already been provided by the Command of Firefighters Sapadores», offering condolences «to all family members, comrades of the corporation and friends», «especially the three minor children».
