About 250 kilos of marine litter were collected from the Arrifana Fishing Port, in an underwater cleaning action that took place yesterday, Sunday, in this fishing village in the municipality of Aljezur.
The action promoted by newly created Regional Directorate for Nature and Forest Conservation, in partnership with the City Council of Aljezur and other public and private entities, involved three dozen volunteers, from five nationalities, of which 18 were divers.
This underwater cleaning was promoted as part of the Open Day of the Natural Park of Southwest Alentejo and Costa Vicentina.
