Silves Beer Fest offers more than 50 different beers to taste

In the batch of beers available, there will be one gluten free

Music, gastronomy, handicrafts and more than 50 different beers are the attractions of the Silves Beer Fest, which takes place between the 17th and 21st of July, at Praça Al-Mutamid, in Silves.

Among the available beers, there will be several craft productions created from local products, such as oranges or carob, and a gluten-free beer will also be available.

According to Silves Futebol Clube, which promotes the festival, «the event maintains the line of growth registered in recent years, with new brands present, a wide gastronomic offer and a musical poster that covers diverse tastes – from rock to Alentejo sing – and public'.

The doors open at 18:00 pm and the festival ends at 2:00 am, with the exception of the last day, when the event closes at 1:00 am.

Admission is free and the glass mug alluding to the event, which allows you to taste the available beers, costs 2,5 euros.
Silves Beer Fest is the oldest beer festival in the Algarve and one of the oldest in the country. The first edition was in 1978 and, after a period of interregnum, it was resumed in 2017, in an organization of Silves Futebol Clube.
