Portimonense is in last place in the Iberian Cup [with photos]

Portimão team was defeated by Betis Seville

This Sunday, 21 July, Portimonense lost 2-1 against Betis de Sevilla and came last in the Iberian Cup. 

After to lose, on penalties, with Getafe, the Algarvians competed in the game to award the 3rd and 4th place in this competition.

Raul scored the 1-0 for Betis, still in the first half, in the 18th minute. Portimonense showed some fatigue due to yesterday's game and suffered 2-0 in the second half.

Veteran Joaquin was the one who scored the second goal for the Spaniards, in the 52nd minute. Paulinho still reduced to 2-1 (71′), but it was insufficient.

Portimonense, which hosted the first edition of the Iberian Cup, ended up in last place. The final is played this Sunday, at 20:30, between FC Porto and Getafe.
