“Os Artistas” will be on the street from Thursday until Saturday. The Sociedade Recreativa Artística Farense (SRAF) will promote the “Artistas na Rua” initiative, in Jardim Manuel Bívar, in Faro, from the 1st to the 3rd of August, always from 21 pm, and offer theatre, concerts and DJ sets afArenses and visitors .
This free-entry initiative is the first in a series of outdoor events that the Farense association, known as “Os Artistas”, will promote, with the support of the Chamber of Faro. The SRAF is currently and temporarily without facilities, as the building it occupied more than a century ago is currently closed to be the target of rehabilitation works, which should last two years.
But, even without its own installations, “Os Artistas” they continued to maintain a regular cultural activity in other formal and informal spaces of Faro, as evidenced by the event that will take place this week.
On Thursday, the Quarteto Cordas de Sol will kick off with a concert of classical music. The following day, August 2, there will be a blues concert by Fast Eddie Nelson and, on Saturday, a garage rock concert by the Sunflowers.
The public can also count on performances by the company Te-Atrito, on Friday and Saturday, and with performances by different DJs. On Thursday, the guest is DJ Bruno Jorge, on Friday Temóteo Suspiro will head the mixing console and on Sunday night it ends with the performance of the collective Clube dos Solteiros Histéricos.
