This Saturday, 6th of July, at 9:00 am, GNR is organizing an action to raise theoretical and practical awareness of defensive driving techniques for motorcycles and mopeds, at the Algarve Stadium.

This initiative "aims to raise awareness among motorcycle and moped drivers, in order to contribute to the reduction of road accidents involving this type of vehicles", explains the GNR.

This will be the 16th action of this nature, having already been sensitized about 721 motorcyclists.

Like the previous ones, this action, given by military experts in road safety and defensive driving of two-wheel motor vehicles, will integrate a theoretical component, which covers topics such as driving position, active and passive safety, emergency braking and trajectories of safety, as well as a component to put into practice the teachings of road safety and driving skills, traveling a circuit at the Estádio Algarve.

The action, given by soldiers from the School of Guards and the National Transit Unit, will be attended by 41 motorcycle and moped drivers.

Subsequently, new practical sessions will be scheduled, free of charge, on Saturdays, on dates to be defined, and interested parties may register at [email protected].
