The Ria Formosa Festival takes place from 25th July to 4th August, at Largo de São Francisco, in Faro, with performances by Rosinha and Melão.
For 11 days, it will be possible to taste the best seafood of the Ria Formosa and other regional specialties made based on the recipes and traditions of the municipality of Faro. As usual, daily entertainment will be guaranteed by local and regional artists.
The highlights are the concerts by Rosinha (31 July) and Melão (26 July).
This is already the 26th edition of an event organized by Vivmar – Association of Nurseries and Shellfish Collectors of Ria Formosa, an entity to which the City Council of Faro joins once more.
«With the support of other entities in the municipality and the region, this is a successful initiative, based on the capacity to attract and gather around those who genuinely work in and for the Ria Formosa», says the Chamber of Faro.
As the most significant gastronomic event in the municipality, the organization's expectation is that the 2019 edition will once again result in a high number of visitors.
Admission is free, with opening hours between 19:00 and 01:00.
