Tonight, starting at 19:42 pm, there will be a partial lunar eclipse, which will reach its maximum at 22:30 pm. The astronomical phenomenon ends at 1:20 am.
The eclipse will only be partial, as the terrestrial umbra (the darkest part of the shadow) will only partially cover the earth's only natural satellite.
The Centro Ciência Viva de Lagos will organize an astronomical observation session, to observe the eclipse, with the help of telescopes, near Fort Ponta da Bandeira, between 21:00 pm and 23:00 pm, in an activity included in the Ciência Viva no Verão en Rede program .
However, eclipse can be seen anywhere you can see the moon and no instruments are needed.
