Rally Vila de Monchique accelerates along the mountain roads

It will be the fourth race of the South Rally Championship

The Monchique Rally goes out on the road next weekend, June 8th and 9th, and the fight for victory promises to be "very lively". This is the fourth race of the Southern Rally Championship.

Márcio Marreiros comfortably leads the championship accounts, but «certainly that victory will not be taken for granted by any of the 25 registered drivers», according to the Portuguese Federation of Automobile and Karting (FPAK).

Fernando Peres, who won the last one, "will not give up ground and will certainly be one of the main candidates for the highest place on the podium, as well as João Bica or Carlos Martins, who are third and fourth respectively", adds the Federation.

The Vila de Monchique Rally, organized by the Clube Automóvel do Sul, takes place on the asphalt roads of the municipality and will have a route that will total 73,25 timed kilometers, with seven special classification events.

The rally starts on Saturday, June 8th, with the Super Special, at 21 pm. On Sunday, two sections are disputed: Picota and Fóia with triple ticket.

The first section of the day starts at 10:15 am at Picota, and the last is scheduled for 13:15 pm, with the third passage through Fóia
