Ourique takes the elderly to Mafra

The senior population of Ourique will visit the National Palace and Tapada de Mafra, on trips scheduled for the 26th and 27th of June and the 1st, 5th and 8th of July. 

Anyone over 65 years old does not pay anything for this trip.

The initiative of the Orika-te 3G Project and of the Municipality of Ourique, with the support of the Parish Councils of the Municipality and the Health Center of Ourique, «will enable contact with one of the most imposing national monuments and with a space of enormous biodiversity» , says the City Council.

The Real Tapada de Mafra was created in 1747 with the objective of providing an adequate involvement to the Monument, of constituting a recreational space for the King and his court, and also of supplying firewood and other products to the Convent.
