How about going to a spa where can you literally shower with beer? This is the proposal of the 2nd edition of the Lagos World Beer Fest, to be held from the 27th to the 29th of June, at Praça do Infante.
This is the first time that there is a beer spa in Portugal. This is an oak barrel (pipo) bathtub designed exclusively and by hand for this event. Lovers of this ancient drink can literally take a bath with beer, and simultaneously enjoy the drink in a mug alluding to the event.
In addition to this novelty, 25 beers and ciders from different parts of the world (Portugal, Spain, France, Italy, Scotland, Canada, Ireland, England, Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, Czech Republic, Sweden and USA) will be the protagonists of the 2nd edition of this party.
This event will once again feature two different areas: contemporary terrace and rustic terrace with different gastronomic spaces that stand out for their rusticity (fire-roasted meats, stone bread, various crepes…). The convivial atmosphere is complemented by an intense entertainment program of different musical genres, street entertainment and games related to beer.
After the success of the first edition, “Bebe e Pedala” will continue to circulate through the event. This is an ecological collective bike that can fit a maximum of 18 people, driver included.
«This authentic contraption moves thanks to the pedals placed under 10 of the places for customers who can go cycling and drinking. On board there is a driver whose mission is to drive the bicycle and guide customers on how to pedal», says the Câmara de Lagos.
This year, the event will last for three days and more than 20 thousand national and foreign visitors of different nationalities are expected.
The party runs from 12:00 to 00:00 and admission is free.
