Santa Clara Dam is the subject of a national photography competition

Winner will earn 500 euros

The Santa Clara Dam is the theme of the 2019 edition of the National Photography Contest, promoted by the Municipality of Odemira and Sopa dos Artistas – Local Association of Plastic Artists, with the deadline for receiving works to end on 30 September.

In addition to monetary prizes for photographs, the best works will be presented in an exhibition taking place at the Municipal Library during the month of November.

This competition aims to promote and publicize the municipality, and this year the Santa Clara Dam was chosen as the theme of the photographs in the competition, in order to mark the dam's 50 years in a creative way and with different perspectives.

Both amateur and professional photographers can participate, with a maximum of three photographs per competitor, in digital format, in color or in black and white.

Unpublished works that have not already been awarded or received an honorable mention in another competition will be accepted. Manipulated images or photomontages will not be accepted. The works to be presented must be registered in the territory of the municipality of Odemira and must indicate the place where they were taken.

The registration form and declaration of transfer of rights are available at the website of the Municipality of Odemira. The photographs and respective documentation should be sent to the email [email protected]

The winner will receive 500 euros, the second placed will receive 250 euros and the third will receive 125 euros.
