Tourism de Faro goes to Guarda to promote at the Iberian Tourism Fair

Cultural, Nature and Nautical Tourism will be highlighted

The Municipality of Faro will, once again, participate in the Iberian Tourism Fair, which this year holds its 6th edition, between 2 and 5 May, in the city of Guarda.

The Algarve municipality emphasizes that this is a way of strengthening the «destination promotion strategy Faro to the public of the interior center of the country and of the Spanish communities Castilla y Leon and Extremadura».

The participation of Faro in this event, which is estimated to pass around 40 thousand Portuguese and Spanish visitors, it intends to be guided by the «affirmation of the county as a quality tourist destination throughout the year, making known the wealth of the various tourist products, with emphasis on Tourism Cultural (historical and architectural heritage), Nature Tourism (sporting activities – surfing, kayaking, windsurfing, hiking, bird watching, cycling) and Nautical Tourism, through the recent certification of the Nautical Station of Faro, resulting from a network between public and private partners that allows the creation of diversified experiences using the city's connection to the Ria Formosa and the Sea».

The Municipality will also have the opportunity to publicize the city of Faro as the final destination for visitors who choose to experience the mythical tourist route on Estrada Nacional 2, between Chaves and Faro, with a length of 738,5 kilometers.
