Ribeira de Tavira market fills with the aroma and mood of Cataplay

This year's Cataplay tour is almost over

Cataplay will be on Saturday, at 19 pm, at Mercado da Ribeira, in Tavira, to spread the mood of Tânia Silva and Mário Spencer and the smell and taste of a freshly made cataplana.

The second tour of this theater, music, dance and gastronomy show, which revolves around the cataplana and where recipes on human relationships or love are discussed, is almost over, but not before visiting the city of Gilão, where had already been last year.

On stage, there are two characters in conflict – the Famous Al-Chef and the Cook Marafada – who discuss among themselves the recipes of life, society, passion or love, while reflecting on the origins of the cataplana, this mysterious and unique tool in the world. At the end of this performance, which is part of the “365Algarve” program, the public is treated to a tasting of a cataplana, made by the team from Tertúlia Algarvia, the event's promoter.

Tickets for the show, which include the gastronomic experience, cost 10 euros for the general public and 8,5 euros for children under 30 and over 65. There are also family tickets, at 25 euros, which guarantee admission for two adults and one child from six years of age.

Tickets can be purchased online or on the day of the show, at the venue, from 17 pm onwards.
