The “Jazz Days” are already here and live em Faro until May 26th. Concerts by Bruno Pernadas, Ricardo Toscano and João Paulo Esteves da Silva make up the «great program» of this initiative, which will even have a concert at the Consulate General of Brazil in the Algarve capital.

After a concert by Salvador Sobral, on the 3rd of May, “Dias do Jazz” will continue this Saturday, the 11th. João Frade and João Barradas will join Carlos Bica and Alexandre Frazão for a concert, starting at 21 pm, in the Theater of Figures.

«It will be an unprecedented show, which will bring together two of the best jazz accordion players in the country with two other great figures: Carlos Bica and Alexandre Frazão. It's going to be a really good concert», said Gil Silva, director of Teatro das Figuras, speaking to Sul Informação.

The concerts continue on the following day, Sunday, when “Zé Eduardo invites João Mortágua”, starting at 18:00, at Club Farense.

Leon Baldesberger's Meersalz

For Thursday, at 19 pm, one of the most awaited shows is booked: Leon Baldesberger's Meersalz will take to an improvised stage at the Consulate General of Brazil, in Faro.

“We've always had this idea of holding concerts outside the usual places, in spaces that are not usually open to the community. We have already had shows at the Palacete Belmarço, at the Civil Government or on board a bus. This year, the bet was for a concert at the Consulate General of Brazil», explained Gil Silva.

For the 18th, Saturday, at 21 pm, the show by Bruno Pernadas is scheduled at Teatro das Figuras, followed, on the 30th, at the same time, but at Teatro Lethes, by another of the highlights of these “Jazz Days”. On stage will be Ricardo Toscano, saxophonist, and João Paulo Esteves da Silva, jazz pianist, in a «concert that will really be very interesting», according to Gil Silva.

It all ends on the 26th, at 18 pm, with another “Cup of Jazz” served by Chibbanga Groove.

This is an initiative that, in the opinion of the director of Teatro das Figuras, people «already know» and, therefore, to which they «adhere».

"I think we have a great program, with some of the best national performers, with renowned names and others that are emerging", he considered to Sul Informação.

“We expect good houses. Jazz is always a discipline that has a very affectionate audience, but we also want to show new projects», he concluded.
