Effects of climate change on tourism discussed in Faro

It will be the first time the topic will be debated in the Algarve

The theme “Tourism – how to respond to the effects of climate change and high impact events” will be debated, for the first time, in the Algarve, at a conference scheduled for the 10th of May, at the Algarve Hotel and Tourism School, in Faro.

"At a time when most countries in the world face important challenges caused by extreme weather phenomena, it is of fundamental importance to debate ways to anticipate these conditions and mitigate their effects in Portugal, among the population and those who visit us", according to the event organizers.

The event, which is open to the public, is jointly organized by the Association SCP – Safe Communities Portugal, Algarve Tourism Region and CDOS – District Command for Relief Operations.
